Technology
Starting from flat blanks or pre-glued cartons, our solutions are designed to meet the diverse packaging needs of the food sector. Whether handling loose products or primary packed products such as flowpacks, bags, bottles, tins, jars, pouches, sticks, tubs, and capsules, our technologies can manage them in a wide variety of final formats including, cartons, wallets and display boxes.
Chocolate tablets and bars, sticks, and many others.
IMA offers vertical cartoners designed to dose and fill granular and bulk products such as candies, gums, dragées, coated sweets, liquorice, nougat, wrapped or flow-packed items, sweeteners, cocoa powder, nuts, and dried fruit.
Designed to be extremely versatile, these machines can handle most types of pre-glued carton shapes and closures. A variety of feeding systems (counting, volumetric and weighing systems) can be integrated depending on the product handled and the output request. Their fully accessible, modular design allows for the easy implementation of additional feeding systems, printers, and quality control units.
IMA horizontal cartoning machines are well-suited for the confectionery and food industries, offering a blend of precision, flexibility, and speed. These machines are designed to handle delicate and irregularly shaped products such as chocolate bars, biscuits, snack packs, or frozen items ensuring reliable performance without compromising product integrity.
The machines support a wide range of carton sizes and formats, allowing for quick changeovers to meet varied packaging requirements.
Carton closing options, including hot melt glue sealing or mechanical tuck-in, are offered to match specific product and market needs.
Our modular horizontal cartoners, intermittent and continuous motions, are designed to work from flat blanks, handling a wide array of package styles. From simple sleeves to multi-panel wallets for slab gums, cholate bars, blisters, and other customized packages, our machines meet the demands of several industries.
Whether dealing with large dimensions, irregular shapes, or delicate consistencies, our equipment is up to the task. Depending on the specific application and customer needs, the machines can be engineered to achieve medium or high production speeds.

Our top-load cartoners are incredibly versatile, handling both standard cartons, corrugated cardboard, from flat blanks, pre-glued cartons, and pre-formed plastic containers. Pack styles go from tray-display box to cartons available with several closing styles. Equipped with single or multiple magazines, they can process a wide variety of products, whether regularly or irregularly shaped. This includes items like bottle, jars, cartons, blisters, vials, flowpacks, and pouches, thanks to various integrated handling tools.
This series leverages advanced robotic units for precise product manipulation and insertion, ensuring excellent production efficiency and quick size changeovers.
We can also incorporate a diverse range of feeding systems, tailored to the specific product and desired output. Before insertion, products can be precisely arranged and oriented by dedicated handling units, ensuring the desired configuration and optimal presentation in the final carton.
