A New Customer Experience Centre for Flexible Packaging Innovation Opens at IMA Ilapak

Designed to bring customers closer to the latest packaging technologies, the new facility provides a dedicated environment where manufacturers can experience machinery in operation, conduct product trials, and collaborate directly with IMA specialists to identify the most effective packaging solutions for their specific requirements.

The centre focuses on Vertical Form Fill Seal (VFFS) and Stand-Up Pouch applications, offering visitors the opportunity to explore a wide range of technologies for the food packaging industry. Equipment available for testing includes the VEGATRONIC continuous-motion series of vertical packaging machines, renowned for their flexibility, performance, and hygienic design, as well as the DOYTRONIC 120, a compact and innovative solution for Stand-Up Pouch form-fill-seal applications.

Complementing the Customer Experience Centre, the onsite OpenLab provides dedicated expertise in packaging materials and sustainability. By analysing packaging structures, validating material performance and supporting the development of more sustainable solutions, the OpenLab helps customers accelerate their transition towards recyclable mono-material and paper-based packaging while maintaining operational efficiency and pack quality.
More than a demonstration facility, the Customer Experience Centre is conceived as a collaborative space where customers can test new packaging concepts, validate production processes, and accelerate innovation projects alongside IMA experts.
