Suppository strip
Pack Style
Suppository packaging provides a dedicated primary packaging format for pharmaceutical products intended for rectal or vaginal administration. The format protects the product during handling, storage and distribution while allowing it to be individually packaged and easily separated at the time of use.
Suppository strip in details
Suppositories and ovules can be packaged in plastic or aluminium, and the format can accommodate different product dimensions and doses, while individual cavities help keep each unit protected and clearly separated within the strip. Depending on the packaging concept, strips can be produced in different lengths and subsequently incorporated into secondary packaging, such as cartons.
IMA offers dedicated solutions for suppository and ovule packaging through its specialized division IMA Sarong, supporting both plastic and aluminium formats and different production requirements. Its expertise in materials and packaging processes helps ensure that the product’s shape, quality and appearance are preserved throughout packaging, through to the final pack.
