Cartoning
IMA offers a complete range of vertical and top-loading cartoning solutions for the pharmaceutical industry, suitable for vials, parenterals, bottles, medical devices, and other items.
Advanced robotic systems ensure maximum adaptability, handling fragile, irregular or mixed products with precision and care. Products are arranged and oriented in order to obtain the desired configuration and appearance of final box.
These cartoners operate with pre-glued or flat cartons also allow for special carton configurations, such as pre-spaced cartons, providing an alternative to paper trays for products that require protection or spacing.

Wallets are practical, enabling the relevant information to be placed next to the tablet. They contain more than one blister with different products for combined therapies and keep instructions close at hand (on or within the package), a feature which is important, especially for some drugs that must follow specific rules when they are administered.
In the most advanced packages, wallets can include a programmable electronic device to remind the patient to take the drug on the prescribed days and at the correct times.
Wallets are patient-friendly and improve therapy compliance, one of today’s key issues.
Our modular horizontal cartoners, intermittent and continuous motions, are designed to work from flat blanks, handling a wide array of package styles. From simple sleeves to multi-panel wallets for blisters, sachet, and other customized packages, our machines meet the demands of the Pharmaceutical industries.

IMA offers a complete range of vertical and horizontal cartoning solutions for the pharmaceutical industry, suitable for vials, parenterals, syringes, pens, bottles, and other medical devices.
The wide variety of solutions available allows for the optimal handling of products with different shapes, sizes, and specific positioning requirements within the carton.
Products can be directly inserted into horizontal or vertical cartons. In vertical applications, advanced robotic feeding systems ensure precise and delicate handling of fragile, irregular. For products requiring additional support, it is possible to load them onto a plastic or paper tray before insertion into the carton.
This flexibility enables special carton configurations, including pre-spaced cartons, ensuring optimal protection and presentation of each item.

Cartoning
IMA offers dedicated cartoning technologies for flow pack, sachets and stick packs, which require specific handling due to their flexible nature and format variability. Products can be stacked vertically or edge-on, and inserted into cartons either horizontally or vertically, depending on layout and packaging needs. High-speed lines are available, ensuring maximum efficiency even at elevated production rates. These solutions are designed to guarantee precise manipulation and optimal protection throughout the packaging process.
Cartoning
IMA offers cartoning machines specifically designed to integrate seamlessly with blister packaging technology. These solutions are available both as stand-alone units, offering high layout flexibility and the possibility to insert accessory modules (e.g. flow packs or additional supports between blister and carton), and as integrated systems, combining blister and cartoning in a compact footprint. The machines support high blister stacking up to 110 mm, insertion of accessories into the carton, and optional serialization modules. Special configurations such as double stacking or edge-on stacking are also available, ensuring maximum adaptability to product and packaging needs.

IMA offers dedicated cartoning systems for tubes, designed to handle both standard and high-speed production requirements. Feeding technologies include robotized systems capable of recognizing and orienting tubes presented in bulk, as well as mechanical systems that allow for precise and customizable tube placement inside the carton. Depending on the product and packaging needs, tubes can be inserted in various orientations, ensuring optimal presentation and protection. These solutions combine flexibility, speed and accuracy to meet the demands of modern pharmaceutical and cosmetic packaging.
Cartoning
IMA offers dedicated cartoning systems for special applications such as suppositories and ovules, which require tailored handling technologies. Specific modules ensure optimal manipulation and positioning of these delicate products. Thanks to the integration of Sarong technologies, a leader in machinery for suppository and ovule production, IMA can configure complete, all-in-one lines that combine forming, filling, sealing and cartoning in a compact and efficient layout. These solutions guarantee maximum integration, precision and reliability throughout the packaging process.
Cartoning

Cartoning
IMA offers cartoning systems designed for all types of bottles—glass or plastic, with round, oval, square, rectangular or irregular shapes. These solutions ensure delicate handling and, when necessary, avoid glass-to-glass contact to preserve product integrity. Cartoning can be performed horizontally or vertically: vertical insertion is ideal for unstable, fragile or irregularly shaped bottles, or when the product content requires a constant upright orientation. Machines can be equipped with dedicated modules for inserting accessories such as leaflets, dosing devices or safety components. Mixed configurations are available to meet specific packaging needs, offering flexibility, precision and reliability across a wide range of bottle formats and production speeds.
