Step into Cognitive Manufacturing
The IMA Ever‑Evolving System invites you into a new era of manufacturing.
Lab4Life is IMA Life’s cutting-edge Lyophilizer Process Development Laboratory, where industry experts drive innovation and support customers in product development, scale-up and qualification.
During the series, we will observe how freeze-drying methods are evolving thanks to new approaches and technological innovations. IMA Life supports the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry with a broad range of equipment and solutions designed to enhance efficiency, increase the role of automation and focus on sustainability.
Reservation is required for each single webinar session in the series.
In this fourth session, we will explore how advanced analytics and machine learning are reshaping modern lyophilization.
Abstract
Modern lyophilization has entered a new phase; one defined not only by thermodynamics and equipment design but by the intelligent use of high-resolution process data. This webinar explores how advanced analytics and machine learning are redefining the way freeze dryers are monitored, understood and controlled.
With platforms such as IMA Intellecta, manufacturers can now harness thousands of sensor signals per batch, transform them into actionable insights, and detect deviations long before they escalate into GMP alarms. Participants will see how phase-by-phase and cross-phase analytical models identify subtle changes in condenser behaviour, chamber pressure stability, or refrigeration dynamics, using techniques such as dynamic time warping, anomaly detection, and golden-batch comparison.
Case studies will illustrate how predictive analytics can anticipate pressure-excursion events, silicone-oil circuit failures, or oscillatory condenser patterns hours in advance, providing meaningful lead time to protect product quality and maintain process continuity.
Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of how AI and ML can elevate lyophilization from reactive troubleshooting to proactive, data-driven control, paving the way for truly Pharma 4.0-ready freeze-drying operations.
