X-PEN LAB | Clinical Trials & Small-Scale Production

X-PEN LAB is the IMA MED-TECH semi-automatic assembly platform designed for clinical trials, process validation and small-scale production of drug delivery devices. Combining operator flexibility with automated assembly technologies, it enables efficient handling of multiple product variants while ensuring high levels of precision, traceability and product quality.
Suitable for the assembly of injector pens, autoinjectors and needle safety devices, X-PEN LAB supports a wide range of critical operations, including press-in processes with force-distance monitoring, labelling with vision inspection, final device inspection and height control. Depending on the device configuration, the machine can perform cartridge loading and insertion, pen engine press-in and priming for pen injectors, as well as PFS and RSA press-in operations for autoinjectors. For needle safety devices, it supports spring assembly, plunger assembly and PFS integration.
With manual loading and unloading and output up to 20 ppm, X-PEN LAB offers the ideal balance between flexibility, accuracy and scalability, making it the perfect solution for early-stage manufacturing and product development activities.
