Pack Style
IMA offers a wide range of technologies for packaging in bottles, covering different product types and formats. Bottles provide flexibility in volume, material, shape, closures and dispensing solutions, and can accommodate liquid, creamy and powder products. From pharmaceutical packaging to containers for sauces and other food preparation, and from high-end glass perfume bottles to mass-market shampoo, IMA technologies support a broad variety of bottle formats and applications. Solutions can be tailored to the specific product, packaging format, and production requirements, combining appropriate filling and closing technologies with the ancillary systems needed to create complete bottle packaging lines.
Bottle for Pharma
In pharmaceutical packaging, bottles are widely used for syrups, oral solutions, ophthalmic products, sprays, oral and nasal inhalers, creams, ointments, powders and granulates. Bottle formats can be selected according to the characteristics of the product, required filling volume and dosing needs, with options for different shapes, sizes and materials.
For solid-dose applications, bottles can be filled with counted tablets or capsules, providing a practical format for multi-dose products while supporting accurate dosing and convenient use. Depending on the application, additional components such as cotton, desiccants or other product-specific accessories can also be incorporated into the bottle pack.
A wide range of closures and dispensing systems can be combined with pharmaceutical bottles, including
screw caps, pressure caps, aluminium closures and measuring caps, as well as application-specific solutions for sprays, drops and other dosage formats. This allows the packaging to support both product protection and convenient, controlled administration.
Bottle for Food
IMA technologies support both filling of liquid and semi-liquid products and counting, dosing and filling of solid products, providing solutions adapted to different product characteristics, container formats and production requirements across the food, confectionery and supplement sectors
Bottles are used for a broad range of liquid and semi-liquid products, including sauces, dressings, condiments, beverages, and other food preparations. Different bottle shapes and capacities can be selected according to product characteristics, usage occasions, and the desired shelf presentation.
Bottle packaging also offers an effective format for solid confectionery products, such as candies, chewing gums, chocolate dragées, coated sweets, liquorice, nougat and other small products, as well as supplements including tablets and capsules. These products can be packaged in cylindrical, square, and irregular formats of bottles of different shapes and sizes. IMA packaging machines can manage all the closures suiting these products, such as screw, press-on, twist-off and other application-specific caps, while dispensing features can be designed to support convenient and controlled product use.
Bottle for Personal Care
Personal Care bottles encompass an exceptionally wide range of formats, shapes, materials, sizes and finishes, reflecting the diversity of products and brand identities across the market. From fluid lotions, shampoos and shower gels to creams, serums and other cosmetic formulations, IMA technologies support the packaging of products in bottles ranging from standard formats to highly distinctive and complex designs.
Particular attention can be given to bottles with unusual shapes, unstable geometries or specially designed bases, using dedicated handling systems and puck configurations to ensure controlled and reliable movement throughout the packaging process.
A wide range of closure and dispensing solutions can be integrated according to the product and the required user experience, including screw and pressure closures, pumps and spray systems. IMA technologies can accommodate more than 30 closure types and bottle configurations, supporting the complete packaging process while maintaining the required level of precision and care.
