The aim of advanced aseptic processing is the elimination and absolute control of all sources of human contamination. IMA Life’s fully automated FIXED VIAL LOADING SYSTEMS are the right technologies to advance this initiative further.
IMA Life loading systems, with their compact footprint, are extremely flexible to meet the most demanding integration and interface requirements with freeze dryers, upstream and downstream machines.
The freeze dryer is loaded or unloaded one shelf, one row or several rows at a time with vials at a constant level. All systems are frameless and are fixed (CLU, MINILOADER, DA VINCI and SEMI-AUTOMATIC SYSTEMS), flexible or mixed (combination of fixed and flexible solutions). The fixed vial loading/unloading systems consist of a conveyor integrated with the outfeed of the filling line, which transports vials to a loading/unloading station installed opposite the freeze dryer.

Semi-Automatic Loading Systems For Trays/Frames
A real step forward in tray & frame vial loading
Although operator intervention is regulated strictly, it still is the main source of contamination. IMA Life semi-automatic tray and frame loading/unloading system meets the highest industry standards for the aseptic operations, drastically reducing human intervention and minimising contamination risks.
The semi-automatic loading and unloading system is very similar to our fully automatic system. The difference lies in the transport of the vials from the infeed/outfeed (un)loading system to the lyophilizer. As with the fully automatic system, the semi-automatic solution fills the gap between aseptic filling and capping operations. It is suitable for cleanroom environments and pre-arranged for open RABS technologies.

POLARIS is a compact and fixed system for automatic loading and unloading of vials, in and out of freeze dryers, and can be supplied in different sizes according to freeze dryer shelves.
Vial loading operations are performed at a constant shelf level and can be done in three different ways:
– Row by row accumulation, suitable for loading on shelves with an ambient temperature.
– Partial pack at leading edge on the shelf, suitable for loading on shelves with a cold temperature (4 to 8 °C).
– Partial pack directly into final position on the shelf, suitable for loading on shelves with a cold temperature (≤0°C).
POLARIS can be installed in-line with an upstream liquid-filling and stoppering machine and with a downstream capping machine.
