Granulation is a key initial step in the OSD manufacturing process and IMA develops wet granulation machines, including high-shear mixer granulators, fluid bed equipment for granulation and drying, and a single-pot granulator and dryer. Integrated granulation lines are the backbone of our offering, especially when processing large volumes or for long production runs, a scenario in which the versatility and excellent productivity of a high-shear granulator combined with a fluid bed dryer achieves the best results.
We also supply equipment featuring a variety of technologies including:
• top-spray granulation techniques that involves spraying a liquid binder onto the powder particles while they are in the fluidised form.
• bottom spray coating which is usually used for small cores, essential for controlled-release formulations.
• high-shear granulation with vacuum drying performed in a unique contained bowl: ROTO CUBE highly sustainable single-pot technology.
