During the event Lorenzo Menarini, Process Scientist at IMA Active, will present “Continuous Direct Compression: implementing MicroNIR in the tablet press feed frame for enhance process control”.
In Oral solid Dosage forms manufacturing, CDC (Continuous Direct Compression) has a great potential for improving process efficiency and quality, by enabling real-time process monitoring and control with the introduction of advanced PATs, thus minimizing the need for human intervention. The CDC process operates as a fully integrated line where dispensing, blending, and tablet compression occur in a single, uninterrupted flow. A key advantage is the implementation of MicroNIR technology, which enhances final product quality by precisely monitoring the powder blend uniformity immediately prior to compression.
