We are proud to announce that IMA Teknoweb has been selected as a finalist for the prestigious INDEX™26 Awards, organized by EDANA, the leading global association serving the nonwovens industry.

The company has been shortlisted in the “Machinery of special relevance to the nonwovens industry” category with its OCEAN converting technology, an advanced solution for the production of high-performance, low-impact absorbent underpads.

The INDEX™ Awards are among the most prestigious recognitions in the nonwovens industry, celebrating innovation, sustainability and technical excellence across the entire value chain.

OCEAN stood out for its ability to combine product performance with resource efficiency. The system introduces a drumless core formation process, enabling a more uniform distribution of fluff and SAP, while supporting multilayer structures including a patent-pending 4-layer configuration with integrated leakage barriers.

This approach allows manufacturers to produce thinner and lighter underpads while reducing raw material consumption, up to 30%, and lowering energy usage, without compromising output or product quality.

The recognition highlights IMA Teknoweb’s ongoing commitment to developing innovative solutions that address key industry challenges, from sustainability and material efficiency to performance and reliability.

Winners will be announced during the INDEX™26 exhibition, taking place in Geneva on 19-22 May 2026.
