POD is the only patented system for late-stage customisation allowing for a product to be placed on different markets cutting the time and money wasted to a minimum.
Past markets tended to demand big batches, and production sites were arranged with a complete set-up (cleaning + changeovers + quality check) followed by continuous and lengthy production runs. Production facilities are now being asked to produce smaller and smaller batches. In such cases today’s setting-up times are too long compared to the time spent on production.
POD (Production On Demand) is our answer. It allows customers to produce neutral big batches ready for late-stage customisation according to the different needs. This enables optimisation of how operators and machines consume time. Moreover, POD fosters extremely flexible production and sustainability thanks to its compatibility with existing blister machines and their features, without having to modify or add expensive components.
