Kryoseq® Freeze-Drying
Machine overview
All at once
KRYOSEQ® nucleation uses liquid nitrogen and water vapour to create a cryogenic fog or “kryo fog”. This fog permeates the product chamber and enters the vials that contain the supercooled liquid solutions. As soon as the ice crystals come into contact with the surface of the product, nucleation proceeds rapidly from the top of the vial to the bottom.
KRYOSEQ® technology ensures reliable and prompt top-down nucleation of pharmaceutical formulations. It guarantees product stability and uniformity while improving the reconstitution time.

Applications
KRYOSEQ® technology is applicable to IMA Life’s range of freeze dryers, such as LYOMAX, LYOFAST, MINIMAX, LYOFAST MINI and MINIFAST (KRYOSEQ LAB®).
Benefits
By KRYOSEQ® nucleation, the ice crystals become larger, vial to vial variance is reduced, product stability and uniformity are improved and reconstitution time is often decreased. The technology is applicable to laboratory, pilot and production-scale lyophilisation.
KRYOSEQ® LAB
KRYOSEQ® nucleation for laboratories is a compact, portable system fitting in limited laboratory space equipped with an automated, user-friendly system with minimal user input required and with updated enclosure enabling improved internal access. All operations are conducted at or below atmospheric pressure and it is compatible with freeze dryers of various makes and models.
