Bag and Tub/Tray Opening-M Aseptic Processing
Machine overview
Safe and flexible, bag opening made simple
As an alternative to fully automatic robotic opening of sterile RTU primary packages, handling of primary materials can be either performed semi-automatically or in part manually.
Using a semi-automatic procedure, the gloved operator places the sealed package on the cutting station. The overbag is then automatically cut and the tub/tray is automatically pushed out of the bag without being touched, and transferred to the sterile area through an automatic gate. The overbag is removed manually and disposed of by the gloved operator.
The partially manual procedure involves the operator, again wearing gloves, placing the sealed package on the cutting station. After positioning the overwrapped tub/tray on the cutting station, the gloved operator performs the cutting operation manually and subsequently pushes the tub/tray gently onto a sloped chute towards the separate processing area, taking care to remove and dispose of the overwrapped bag.
After cutting, the package is instantly transferred via an internal transfer port to the isolated processing area where the tub/tray will be definitively opened at the de-lidding station.

Machine highlights
-
Operating options
Semi-automatic or partially manual operations.
-
De-lidding
Manual tub/tray de-lidding process using gloves under containment.
-
Improved protection
Surrounding area for de-lidding process is confined beneath Restricted Barrier Systems and isolator.
-
Bag-opening
Absence of tub/tray contact: high level of product quality assurance.
-
Synergic concept
Perfect synergy between automation and human interaction.
-
Handling variety
Handling of single or double bagged packages.
-
Disposable materials
Single-use materials (bag, TyvekTM lid and liner) disposed of within the system.
-
Easy integration
The systems are easily adapted from small to medium production output and fit easily into existing line concepts.
Containment
Either with semi-automatic or partially manual systems, the surrounding area is normally confined beneath Restricted Barrier Systems with a laminar airflow hood, providing a better degree of product quality assurance.
